How it works

1

Tell us about your instrument

WhatsApp or email us with the brand, model, condition, and your asking price. A few photos help too. We'll get back to you within 24 hours.

2

Consign it to us (recommended)

Drop it off in KL or ship it to us. There's no consignment fee and no time limit. Having the instrument with us means we can photograph it properly, let buyers try it on the spot, and close deals faster. You can also choose to keep it at home, but arranging buyer tryouts gets trickier on both sides.

3

We photograph and list it

We take quality photos, write a detailed listing with honest condition grading and specs, and publish it on the site. Your asking price, your call.

4

Buyers try and enquire

Since the instrument is with us, interested buyers can come try it directly. No back-and-forth scheduling between you and strangers. We screen enquiries and only deal with serious buyers.

5

You get paid

Once the buyer is happy and payment is confirmed, you receive your money. Simple, no drama, no chasing people on Facebook Marketplace.

Why sell through BrassWind Exchange

Reach the right buyers

Our audience is brass and woodwind players. Not random Facebook buyers asking "still available?" and disappearing.

Professional presentation

Quality photos and honest, detailed descriptions. Your instrument looks the way it deserves, not like a blurry Carousell post.

Zero listing fees

No upfront costs. We only take a small commission when your instrument sells. If it doesn't sell, you owe us nothing.

We do the work

Photos, listing, enquiries, buyer screening. You don't have to deal with tyre-kickers or explain what a rotary valve is to strangers.

Common questions from sellers

We charge a small commission on the final sale price. The exact rate depends on the instrument value and is agreed upfront before listing. There are no hidden fees or surprise charges.
KL meetups are easiest, but we also accept instruments shipped from anywhere in Malaysia. You cover the shipping to us, and we'll handle everything from there.
It depends on the instrument, brand, and price. Popular models like Yamaha saxophones can move within days. Niche instruments like bass trombones may take a few weeks. We'll give you a realistic expectation upfront.
No worries, and no cost to you. We'll discuss options like adjusting the price, or you can simply collect your instrument back. There's no pressure and no penalty.
Absolutely. You set the asking price. We'll advise you on market rates based on what similar instruments have sold for, but the final price is always your call.
