Yamaha YSL-682G Bb/F Tenor Trombone

RM 4,300

About this instrument

The Yamaha YSL-682G is a professional large-bore Bb/F tenor trombone from Yamaha’s 600 series, built in Japan. The G stands for the gold brass bell, which gives it a warmer, darker sound than the standard yellow brass model, and with the .547” bore and F-attachment this is a full orchestral and wind band instrument.

Condition is an honest 6 out of 10, and the reason is entirely cosmetic. The lacquer is worn, the way a horn looks after years of playing, and we photograph it exactly as it is. What matters is underneath: every mechanic works perfectly, the F-rotor is clean, and the slide is very smooth. It plays exactly the way a Yamaha professional model should play.

That is the whole trade. At RM4,300 you are buying a genuine professional trombone, with the gold brass bell that usually costs extra, for less than the price of most new student horns in Malaysia. It ships with the original Yamaha hard case and a mouthpiece, and it has been played and tested before going up. Come try it in KL by appointment, or WhatsApp us with any questions.

Our comment

A 6 out of 10, and every point of that is finish. The lacquer is worn, and the price says so.

Underneath, every mechanic works perfectly and the slide is very smooth. It plays exactly how a Yamaha should.

At RM4,300 you are getting a professional 600 series trombone with the gold brass bell for the price of a new student horn. If you care about the sound and not the shine, this is the smartest buy on the page.
