The Selmer Series III is the alto saxophone that professional players around the world measure everything else against. Made in France by Selmer Paris, it carries decades of refinement and a sound that is immediately recognisable: focused, warm, and endlessly versatile. Condition is 9 out of 10. This saxophone has been meticulously maintained by its previous owner and honestly looks like it just left the showroom floor. The lacquer is virtually flawless, the pads seal perfectly, and the keywork is tight with no play. You would need to look very closely to find any signs of use at all.

Included are a genuine Selmer Paris S80 C* mouthpiece (a solid all-rounder that many players use as their daily driver) and a lightweight case with backpack straps for easy transport. At RM16,000 for a near-mint Series III with the original mouthpiece, this is a compelling alternative to buying new at nearly double the price.

Our comment

From a careful previous owner who clearly knew what they had. Pads are still tight, the action is smooth, and the lacquer is clean with very little wear. Plays exactly like a Series III should: focused tone, warm centre, and that unmistakable Selmer projection when you push it. If you have been waiting for a Series III to surface in Malaysia, here it is, ready to walk straight into a gig.
