The MB-5 Baby 2 is Marcus Bonna’s compact solution for horn players with detachable-bell instruments who need something genuinely portable. It wears like a backpack, which makes it perfect for daily commutes, walks to rehearsal, or travel days when you need both hands free. If you have ever wrestled a bulky horn case through a crowded train station, you know exactly why this exists.
The design is clever. Your bell sits atop the instrument body, secured with foam and velcro for a snug, rattle-free fit. The shell combines fiberglass and carbon fibre for serious impact protection, while the interior is lined with soft nylon-velvet padding. Made in Brazil using renewable energy and finished in a special Cationic Blue that looks sharp and holds up to daily wear.
